Anime Piece Flash Step Location, Requirements, and Controls

Flash Step in Anime Piece is a teleportation mobility skill learned from the trainer NPC behind the starter island rock. Unlocking it costs $5,500 and fifteen Bandit Souls, fifteen Higaro Bandit Souls, and five Higaro Souls.

Flash Step Trainer Location

The trainer NPC stands on the starter island, also known as Foosha Island. After spawning at the central village, walk past the initial quest givers and head toward the stone formations behind the windmill. The trainer, modeled as Rob Lucci, waits directly behind a large rock ledge.

Interacting with this NPC opens a dialogue prompt detailing the necessary materials and money needed to teach the skill. Players can speak to the NPC immediately upon starting their adventure, allowing soul collection to begin during the first leveling circuit outlined in the beginner guide.

Material Requirements and Soul Farming

Unlocking Flash Step requires three distinct mob soul drops and in-game cash. You must collect all items in your inventory before the trainer accepts the trade:

  • 15 Bandit Souls: Dropped by defeating basic Bandits located in the open fields near the village spawn.
  • 15 Higaro Bandit Souls: Dropped by defeating Higaro Bandits found clustered near the item shop.
  • 5 Higaro Souls: Dropped by defeating the Higaro boss. Higaro spawns every minute at the end of the starter island camp and has a 100% drop rate for his soul.
  • $5,500 Game Cash: Earned by completing starter quests and defeating enemies across Foosha Island.

Because Higaro respawns every 60 seconds, gathering five Higaro Souls takes approximately five minutes once your combat stats allow you to defeat him cleanly. Early melee combatants often combine this soul collection with the Flame Legs combat style available at the nearby campfire.

Controls and Combat Mobility

Activating Flash Step on PC uses the R key by default. Pressing the input instantly teleports your avatar a fixed distance forward in the direction your character faces.

In PvE combat against standard mobs and early bosses, Flash Step functions as an evasive tool. Activating the skill lets you bypass enemy swing animations, close distance without absorbing front-facing hitboxes, and reposition behind targets to continue basic attack chains safely.

Mobility Progression in Anime Piece

Players decide between standard movement and upgraded traversal options based on their progression level and available currency.

Movement OptionBest Used ForRequirements and Cost
Default Sprint and DashTraversing short distances between village quest NPCsFree starter control
Flash StepShort-range instant teleportation during starter island combat$5,500, 15 Bandit Souls, 15 Higaro Bandit Souls, 5 Higaro Souls
Ki DashHigh-speed long-distance traversal across high-level zonesLevel 200, $10,000, 1 Bronze Key, 1 Silver Key, 1 Gold Key

After progressing beyond Foosha Island and Jungle Island, movement demands shift toward larger map layouts. Upon reaching level 200 on West Island, players can transition from local teleportation into Ki Dash, which provides extended dash distances, while preparing the prerequisites to learn Armament Haki in later zones.
