Anime Piece Fighting Styles: Complete Move and Trainer Guide

Anime Piece fighting styles provide close-quarters martial arts movesets that scale with your strength stat. You can obtain four distinct styles: default Combat, Black Leg on Starter Island, Robotic Style at Capsule Corp, and Divergent Fist on Sorcery Island.

Fighting Style Overview and Comparison

Every character begins with basic melee combat, but advancing your account allows you to switch to specialized trainers across the seas. Melee attacks scale their damage through points allocated into the strength stat in your character menu. When building an account using a beginner guide, pairing your martial attacks with active defense and mobility skills prevents incoming stun loops from aggressive enemy groups.

Combat (Starter Style)

Combat is the default martial art assigned to every new player upon loading into the Starter Island. If you swap to a different weapon or art and wish to switch back to base fists, an NPC named Melee Trainer stands near the market stalls on Starter Island to restore your basic punches.

The Combat moveset consists of two direct physical maneuvers:

  • Z (Strong Punch): Deals a direct physical hit that knocks back the target directly in front of you.
  • X (Ground Slam): Hits the ground beneath your feet to create an impact wave that strikes nearby enemies.

Combat relies strictly on raw M1 punches and these two basic skills. It requires no cash or items to maintain, but lacks the mode bars and status effects found on upgraded styles.

Black Leg

Black Leg is an offensive martial art inspired by Sanji, specializing in rapid kick chains and area damage. You purchase Black Leg on Starter Island from the Sanji trainer NPC standing beside a small campfire. The trainer is positioned near the windmill path that leads toward the Flash Step NPC.

Acquiring Black Leg requires a flat payment of 15,000 in-game cash with no extra item requirements.

The style features four distinct keybinds:

  • Z (Steel Kick): Dashes forward into an enemy to deliver an impact kick.
  • X (Hunter Kick): Launches your character into a backflip before slamming a heavy downward kick into the selected spot.
  • C (Breakdance): Drops your character into an inverted spin, swinging your legs in a rapid circle to sweep multiple clustered enemies before delivering a 300-damage finishing strike.
  • V (Fire Transformation): Activates once you fill the dedicated mode bar by dealing damage. Entering the transformation activates Flame Legs, giving your basic punches and kicks flame visual effects while applying continuous 30-damage burn ticks to struck targets.

Because Breakdance hits in a complete radius around your character, Black Leg is widely used to gather and wipe out grouped enemy spawns on early farming islands.

Robotic Style

Robotic Style, also known as the Cyborg style, is a mechanical martial art that introduces lightning-infused strikes and direct health recovery. The Robo Trainer NPC is located on West City (the Dragon Ball island), positioned behind Capsule Corp next to the fruit vendor.

To unlock Robotic Style, speak with the Robo Trainer and turn in the following resources:

  • 15,000 cash
  • 45 Robo Gears (dropped by the robot mobs patrolling right outside Capsule Corp)
  • 5 Robot Cores (dropped by the robot boss located directly in front of the trainer)

The Robotic Style kit provides both ranged utility and defensive survival:

  • Z: Releases a forward electric punch and lightning projectile toward your target.
  • X: Triggers an electrical blast that damages enemies at mid-range.
  • C: Initiates a self-repair action that restores a portion of your character's missing health during battle.

The C skill provides sustain during prolonged boss fights, allowing you to recover health without relying exclusively on consumable items or passive regeneration.

Divergent Fist

Divergent Fist is an advanced martial art based on Jujutsu Sorcery, taught by the Gojo NPC on Sorcery Island (also known as Serenity Island). Traveling between these remote regions is made easier once you check your map bearings against known island locations using log poses.

Unlocking Divergent Fist requires high-tier drops from multiple islands:

  • 35,000 cash
  • 1 Cursed Card (dropped by the Panda boss on Sorcery Island)
  • 1 Cursed Gem (dropped by the Broly raid boss inside the Capsule Corp portal on West City)

Summoning the Broly raid boss requires obtaining a Mode Chip, which drops at a 20 percent rate from the Frieza boss on West City. Once you gather both items and the currency, speak with Gojo on Sorcery Island to learn the style.

Divergent Fist features five combat inputs:

  • M1: Delivers rapid fist strikes accompanied by thunder audio effects and dark lightning particles.
  • Z (Divergent Rush): Sprints directly forward, delivering an impact strike upon colliding with an enemy target.
  • X: Fires a forward cursed energy burst that knocks opponents backward.
  • C: Executes a close-range command grab that holds an opponent in place before dealing heavy strike damage.
  • V (Black Flash): Channels cursed energy to unleash a high-damage impact strike directly into your target.

When combined with buffs from Armament Haki, Divergent Fist delivers substantial burst damage against endgame bosses across the higher-level islands.
